Our Story

House of Paintings began with a simple observation: buying art online often gives customers thousands of images but very little confidence about materials, craftsmanship, scale or how the artwork will actually work in a room. We set out to build a more considered alternative from India.

From artwork to a complete wall-art experience

Our vision goes beyond listing paintings. We are building an art and creative-commerce platform where discovery, material quality, production, finishing and presentation work together. That means helping a customer choose between a canvas painting, a hand-painted artwork, an art poster or a decorative wall plate based on the space and the desired look—not simply presenting an endless product grid.

Why 450 GSM became part of our promise

Material specifications matter. For selected canvas products, we chose a premium 450 GSM canvas specification to give customers a clear reference point rather than an undefined “premium canvas” claim. As House of Paintings grows, we intend to keep expanding the amount of useful product information customers can see before ordering.

Indian creativity with global ambition

India has an extraordinary range of artistic traditions, contemporary creators, makers and production capabilities. House of Paintings is being developed to connect this creative strength with modern digital commerce. Our long-term catalogue will span Indian traditional art, modern and contemporary work, famous paintings, landscapes, spiritual art, fashion art, abstract paintings and design-led décor.

Where we are today

We are currently upgrading the House of Paintings website and preparing the full online collection. The early website establishes our brand, quality principles and information architecture. The next stage will add deeper collections, product pages, buying tools, artist stories and educational guides designed to help customers make better art decisions.

Our aim is straightforward: make premium paintings and wall art easier to understand, easier to choose and more rewarding to live with.
